On 15 September, the FTC submitted suggestions to the G20 Development Working Group to ensure that the group looks understands how the issue of development intertwines with tax, corruption, and financial transparency. The G20 Leaders Summit will take place in Antalya, Turkey on 15-16 November.

Letter to the Global Forum on Automatic Exchange of Financial Information
June 22nd, 2015
On 22 June, the FTC submitted a letter to the head of the Secretariat of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes to highlight our concerns regarding the OECD common reporting standard on cross-border information exchange. The letter touched on concerns of confidentiality requirements and multilateralism, among other issues.

Letter to OECD on Automatic Exchange of Information

The FTC submitted a letter to Pascal Saint-Amans, director of the OECD’s Center for Tax Policy and Administration laying out a number of concerns with the OECD’s common reporting standard for cross-border information exchange. Among the issues are questions about multilateralism and confidentiality requirements.
