Financial Transparency Coalition

The FTC, along with a number of other civil society organizations, submitted the following letter to European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker, calling on him to ensure that the Commission’s anti-tax avoidance package includes public country by country reporting. 

The FTC joined 22 other civil society organizations in drafting a letter to the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters. The letter addresses concerns about the proposed UN Code of Conduct on Cooperation in Combatting International Tax Evasion, and offers a set of recommendations on how to strengthen the document. 

The Financial Transparency Coalition joined more than 30 other civil society organizations from around the world to send a letter to European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker to highlight the importance of ensuring that public country by country reporting for corporations remains in the Shareholders Rights Directive, currently being negotiated by European lawmakers. 

Ahead of the G20 Summit, the FTC has submitted a list of recommendations on issues pertaining to financial transparency and illicit financial flows. The G20 Leaders Summit will take place in Turkey 15-16 November 2015.
