Financial Transparency Coalition’s response to the FACTI Panel’s Interim Report

September 24th, 2020

The Financial Transparency Coalition welcomes the Interim Report of the High-Level Panel on International Financial Accountability, Transparency and Integrity for Achieving the 2030 Agenda, launched today.

The FACTI interim report analyzes the gaps, vulnerabilities and impediments present in the current international systems related to financial accountability, transparency and integrity issues.

The FTC supports the Panel’s call for long overdue systemic reforms in the current global financial system and endorses FACTI Panel’s progress on the rights-based framing of illicit financial flows (IFFs) by acknowledging ‘tax abuse’ as an issue that severely affects the SDG 2030 agenda.
