Ex-Infineon CEO Schumacher May Be Allowed to Settle

Bloomberg — Infineon Technologies AG’s former Chief Executive Officer Ulrich Schumacher may be allowed to settle charges in a criminal case pending against him in Munich.
The Munich Regional Court announced during the trial today that it discussed a settlement option with Schumacher and prosecutors, who both agreed on the matter, court spokeswoman Margarete Noetzel said in an interview. Schumacher would have to make a cash payment to settle. The court will issue a ruling on the question Oct. 28, she added.
