Corruption fuelling terrorism in Indonesia: think tank

JAKARTA — Indonesia has succeeded in dismantling a major new Al-Qaeda-style terrorist network but corruption and complacency threaten to unravel its gains against home grown extremists, a think tank said Tuesday.
The Brussels-based International Crisis Group (ICG) also warned against calls for Indonesia to mimic Singapore’s harsh internal security measures with a new intelligence bill due for debate this year.
