On Friday, April 1st at 13:00-14:30 CET / 11:00-12:30 UTC the Financial Transparency Coalition (FTC) hosted a high-level panel discussion on offshore wealth.

The war in Ukraine has highlighted Russian kleptocrats funnelling billions of dollars out of the country and investing them in London and other major global financial centres, prompting political leaders in Europe and USA to crack down on this shady money.

This blog post is the first in a two-part blog series. In this post, I observe several of the year’s biggest global trends and their relationship to financial transparency.
