The Task Force Celebrates International Women's Day

As a Task Force we work together to promote a transparent and equitable financial system. The Task Force recommends changes to the international financial structure that would give everyone the same advantages and opportunities. For this to be possible, women have the same access to the system that men do. Not only is gender equality a basic human right, but it is necessary component of economic development. According to UN Women,
“Gender inequalities remain deeply entrenched in every society. Women lack access to decent work and face occupational segregation and gender wage gaps… They are under-represented in political and economic decision-making processes.”
In honor of International Women’s Day 2012 and women around the world, Task Force Allied Organizations are showcasing inspirational women and their work by contributing to an online album. While this album represents a very small sample of the amazing women in this world, we hope that it inspires others to reflect upon their shared role in society.
